In its first year, Hatch achieved a national reach. Two hundred trained Teaching Fellows, volunteers studying at top universities across the country, have virtually supported 250 K-12 students in subjects ranging from language arts to chemistry. Our program has proven successful: over 70% of Hatch students improved their grades throughout a semester-long cycle, and parents overwhelmingly rate us highly. Our impact has been equally illustrated by the personal stories we hear from students and their families, whether it be a high school senior’s college acceptance or the friendship a Teaching Fellow built with a student.
